This is not the happiest time of year in the garden. The harsh winter temperatures have left their mark, the heavy snow damaged some trees and bushes and when I look out my window I see more a list of things to do, than a view to delight in.
Thankfully the snowdrops have appeared to announce the arrival of spring, and remind me of the pleasure a well-tended garden can bring. The sort of encouragement I need to don gloves and coat and get myself moving!
