Last year some friends kindly invited us to join them on holiday at Cap Ferret, a small ocean side town nestling on a sandy spit of land west of Bordeaux.
Up till then we have to admit to being Mediterranean in our holiday destinations, and rather foolishly turned our noses up at the Atlantic coast. Boy, were we wrong!
On this chic peninsula we discovered an old fashioned charm and pace of life. When you arrive you can forget your car since any need to get around is satisfied on a bike.
People here like boats, long sandy beaches, good restaurants, a daily market,
hidden courtyards sheltering decking around pools
contenporary style set against a timeless background
design is omnipresent, even the hairdressers are chic!
We'll definitely return here this summer or next. Too good not to get another look!
