impressionism in Normandy

From June to September this year Normandy is strangely the hot place to be!   Maybe I should re-phrase this,  Normandy not generally being known either for its soaring temperatures or its exciting night life.  This year sees the first Normandy Festival of  Impressionism, which is setting out to prove that our little Normandy is the cradle of the Impressionist movement.

What this means for us is that we have a big choice of art exhibitions, live concerts, picnics, open air cinema events, and general impressionist happenings to keep us happy.

Small town  museums suddenly find themselves host to the great names, albeit sometimes their minor works, but its all good stuff and I'm loving it.

Just hoping it will become an annual event...
